IDMOJI

8 October was so memorable.
Yes, MIID happened and the host for 2016 is Erican College.

I missed the chance to get involve in MIID last year because I don't even know how to participate.
Not sure what is it and my ex-lecturer was so noob.
Didn't tell the info, just wrote the names she wanted to, which is so weird.

MIID stands for Malaysia Institute Interior Design I guess.
It happened every year and it is open for interior design and interior architecture student studying in Malaysia.
Diploma, degree and even a professional are welcome to join.
19 of colleges and universities like Saito, Inti, Taylor, The One, Ucsi, Uitm, Alpha are all participating. So competing and interior design students can communicate and understand how other colleges or universities do their design.
SO FUN!

IDMOJI combining two vocabs, ID (interior design) and emoji (emotion).
''Interior design required soul and feeling, emotion is an important element in an interior design'', our founder told us the idea of IDMOJI concept when he was giving speech.
He is a good speaker, he gave good speeches.

There are a few categories such as residential design, retail design, hotel design, office design, furniture design, pattern design, station games, fashion design, masquerade performance, installation design and so on. Hashtag #idmoji or #miid2016 in Instagram to see the amazing pictures of the products.

To participate, students should tell related lecturers which category you are interested or the lecturers will give chance to students they think that are suitable to fill in (based on student's performance from their projects). The terms and condition I heard is you have to get at least credit in your SPM result to join MIID. Its better to ask your interior design lecturer for clearer information hehe.

We reached KL library at 0700am. After registration and watched the open ceremony, we headed to DBKL, which is a throw stone away from KL library (I think? less than 10mins walking distance)

Met Ms Belle at KL library too! She is now working at Uitm and still looking pretty.

I actually wanted to join design category but I was too late to tell. :(
All category were full-filled except performing. Since I missed my chance last year, so I would not ignore any category I can do this year, and I never regret doing masquerade.
We formed a group in 8 persons, including QingQi, Kazat, Yap, CS, SzeTing, JC, Lulu and myself.
Miss Suzy and Mr Ramesh gave us the concept of KungFu to do it.
Five of us have to cover our body with black clothes, wearing black mask, black socks, black gloves to make sure the audiences could not see us on stage (the background of stage was all black too), and four of us have to act. Some groups did dancing but we did funny drama.

The 'black guys' plays an important role in masquerade although they are invisible on stage. They have to trick the eyes of audiences. And guess what? I was playing the 'black guy', with Lulu, Szeting, JC and the hand of Yap.

I think you guys can now understand the situation. You can't even tell which is me lol.
We bought Halloween masks from daiso and sprayed them to black, but we found it was still visible on stage because of reflection, so we covered everything with black shawl.
The outcome was not bad.

(The picture above was taken before performing and the below one is after performing.)

We didn't win for our college, but I think we did well. We made the audiences laughed and Ms Suzy and Mr Jon like it. We had fun during the process from thinking concept and story line, to buy props and outfits, to prepare and modify the props, to rehearsal.
It takes time to do performing.
I did a few drama performing during secondary school but masquerade is new to me.
I learned so much and I think we get closer and creating more valuable memories.
Big thanks to our lecturers and the team.

The night was fun.
Performance done by mass communication team was awesome!
The long day ended at 1030PM.
Lulu stayed a night at my place becauze she is living too far from KL.
Hope she was sleeping well cuz the temperature of my bedroom is duper cold. I think she got flu the next day.

Thanks to Stephanie for recording this for us. (the one and only video we have)
Have fun!

Looking forward to the MIID next year that will be hosted by UiTM.
Wish to get myself involve next year too.

By the way, retail project has come to the stage of planning layout.
Get busy! See ya blogger I wish to write more often.
